flanl (“flanl,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the flanl website and mobile app (the “Service”), an AI-powered fashion discovery and closet app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using flanl, you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

Information you provide:

• Account information — your name, email address, and login credentials when you sign up (including via Sign in with Apple, Google, or email/password).
• Profile information — your profile photo, username, and any details you add to your profile.
• Content you create — items you add to your closet, posts you share, photos you upload, comments, likes, saves, and the people you follow.
• Preferences — style and product preferences, and items you like or dislike, which we use to personalize recommendations.

Information collected automatically:

• Usage data — how you interact with the Service, such as pages viewed, items tapped, and features used.
• Device data — device type, operating system, app version, and general technical information needed to run and improve the app.

How we use your information

We use your information to: create and manage your account; operate core features (your closet, the social feed, saving and liking); generate personalized outfit and product recommendations; show you products and direct you to retailers to shop; communicate with you about the Service; keep flanl secure and prevent abuse; and improve our features.

AI processing

flanl uses artificial intelligence to power features like recommendations and styling. To do this, some information you provide (such as your style preferences and closet/profile details) may be processed by our AI service providers solely to deliver these features. We do not use this processing to identify you to third parties for advertising.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:

• Service providers that help us run flanl — including our hosting, database/storage, and AI providers — who process data on our behalf under contract.
• Affiliate/retail partners— when you tap a product to shop, you may be directed to a retailer's own website. Those retailers and the affiliate networks that connect us may receive information that you clicked through, and their own privacy policies then apply to your activity on their sites.
• Legal reasons — if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of flanl and its users.

Your data choices and rights

• Account deletion — you can delete your account at any time directly within the app (Profile → Settings → Delete Account). Deleting your account removes your profile and associated personal data from our active systems, subject to limited retention required for legal, security, or backup purposes.
• Access and correction — you can review and update your profile and closet information in the app.
• Contact us — you can request access to or deletion of your data, or ask questions, by emailing us at the address below.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (such as under GDPR or CCPA). We honor those rights as required by applicable law.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it for legal, security, or backup reasons.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to safeguard your data.

Children's privacy

flanl is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Links to other sites

flanl links out to third-party retailer and brand websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Review their policies before providing information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new effective date, and where appropriate, notify you in the app.
